How is coach Weis and staff going to prepare for LSU? Last year I belive coach gave the players a week or so off do you think he does that again?

Nope, in his most recent presser Charlie said that they're going to continue to have practices, but they'll be shorter and less intense. I think that was one of the big mistakes he made last year. He should be able to handle this game better than last year because of the experience he will have going into a bowl game and how to handle all of the time off.

No way he repeats his F up of last year.

Let's hope he brings our boys in loose and fired up.

for one thing CW didnt fuck up last year, we were in the game till 2 min left. tOSU just made more plays than us. going against LSU is gonna be tough because it wil be a home game for them....BUT we definitely match up good against them.

What game were you watching? We were dominated.

And Weis even said he screwed up. So, yeah, he fucked up...he said so himself. (and we are talking about PRE-GAME planning not IN-GAME play calling anyway)

What you guys are forgetting is that Weis does tend to fare pretty well in hostile environments. He is 9-1 on the road.

Yeah, it's a pretty little statistic...but it really does not mean a lot. We have played two good teams on the road and won 1 of them (GT).

Our Road Games under Weis are as follows:

2005
Pitt (5-6)
Mich (7-5)
UW (2-9)
Purdue (5-6)
Stanford (5-6)

W-L of Opponents we beat in 2005: 24-32

2006
GT (9-4)
MSU (4-8)
Navy (9-3) - but it's Navy
Air Force (4-8)
USC (10-2)

W-L of Opponents we beat in 2006: 26-23 [one of which was Navy]

If you look at the win-loss of the opponents that we beat on the road it's: 50-55

Given that Navy even skews that a bit...we are not looking at a meaningful statistic in many ways.

I would argue that it proves Weis does not let the team lose to inferior opponents on the road though. I would say that the jury is out when playing quality opponents on the road.

They'll take a break for finals, then get back to work. I believe it was in the last presser.

If nothing else CW should bring LOU in the night before the game and let him address the team....LOU knows exactly what it's like to bring a ND team into New Orleans with everyone and their mother telling them they have no business being there.

film study, film study, practice, more practice, and I think a whole lot of praying wouldn't hurt.

hopefully lsu pulls a georgia and just comes lollygagging in there and we put up a shitload of points on them in a hurry. ND is going to need their A+++++++++++++ game.

I still think we're gonna get killed, but this gives me a small glimmer of hope...

Weis plans to spend the next few weeks letting his starters practice against each other, hoping that will help them get a better idea of what LSU can do than facing scout team players.

"The speed of the game is the number one thing we've got to be to be ready for," he said. "If not, we're going to be in for a long night."

Their lollgagging to the ball. Their lollygagging on their blocking. You know what that makes them? Lollygaggers.

Charlie should buy his guys some jet packs. That will make them faster.

That is a great idea. He can tell them the cheerios story. Then when they show up for the team breakfast the next morning, have a box of cheerios sitting out for each player.

Ohh, and when they open their boxes, they pull out the white jerseys with green numbering.

LSU goes with white for home games, so I'm guessing blue for the good guys? Oh jeez, no green, no green!

First off ND needs to protect Quin and give him time. Without the offense firing on all cylinders we have no chance. Second the wideouts need to seperate from the DB's, they didn't do such a good job in our last game. Lastly, we need to stop the run and hopefully cause some turnovers, cause we all know stopping the throwing game is probably not in the cards.

Well right now I'd bet you they have NO IDEA.
This one is going to require some creative game planning.

On 3. Ready.....break !

I hope Charlie has a plan to use different backs in this game. The little juke Darius uses is not going to work against this speedy defense. I am betting too that LSU will throw the same patterns across the middle of the "zone" coverage like USC did. God the defense is going to have their hands full.

Why not? The green jerseys are on a one game winning streak.

Against Army. I'm the guy that will scream "NO!" to the green jerseys until the game arrives and the guys come out in green. Then I scream like a little girl at an Nsync concert.

I think ND could use a little more emotion. Maybe CW can put away the "business trip" just once and let these kids just play off the emotion. What do they have to lose? I think the "business trip" mentality may be why they seem so lackluster in the beginning of games. I'd love to see them come out angry.
