No more predictions from me as I said 10/2 and not losing to southern cal (love saying that now-southern cal souther cal southern cal----------- ) but I still hang my hat on 10/2 so I guess I just predicted. Seriously I'd be happy with 9/3 still concerned about Stanford/Pitt. My initial statement was that we'd lose to Stanford/southern cal southern cal southern cal-----------------.

I predicted 10-2 at the beginning of the season and I'm sticking to it.

But NDOM's prediction is far from being far-fetched, in fact IMO it's far more real than some other predictions about Irish scores. And I really can't argue with NDMontana's inevitable one loss prediction either. Our defense sucks...and if BC put the blueprint out for slowing down ND's offense and it actually works, then we're in trouble. Once Floyd comes back though, teams are in trouble again because they won't be able to bracket 3 players (Tate, FLoyd and Rudolph) anymore.

This season can go many different ways...

I like the points at Pitt because its a fast field with field turf ( I think ), Stanford the same as its a fast field. They will not win by that many against WSU- they dont know how to blow someone out yet.

Guys someone check me on that statement on field turf in the 'Burgh. I'm from back there and should know, I thought they changed the surface.

Washington State: Closer than we think. Sorry, guys, but I think this will be the case. If Shinskie can throw on our defense, surely the Washington State quarterback can do the same. Jimmy Clausen, Golden Tate, and the offense will have to outscore the other team. ND 31, WSU 21

Navy: Our run defense is solid. Navy never throws on first and second down, so if we can stop them when they do throw, we'll be fine. With Floyd, we'll roll. ND 42, Navy 14

Pittsburgh: Bill Stull has been good this year. Freshman running back Dion Lewis is tearing it up, as well. This one will be extremely tough. ND 31, Pitt 28

UConn: Tougher than expected. ND 28, UConn 24

Stanford: Clausen vs. Luck. The Irish win on a fourth quarter touchdown drive. ND 31, Stanford 28

Without looking it up, can you name the WSU QB or at least tell us how he is doing???

Until Notre dame establishes a run offense they will have a difficult time beating anyone. Charlie is supposed to be an offensive genius right? We can't defend the inside screen very well. Do we use that play? No. We run the ball better with 2 backs in the backfield or in the wildcat formation. I hope they win out but it will be a crap shoot for sure.

I think we have been running the ball pretty well. Certain situations have dictated we pass, but I think we are averaging over 4 yds per carry

@ Stanford, vs Navy, vs UConn and @ Pitt are going to be some tough games.

With the way we've looked over the first 7 games of the season, I'd have a hard time predicting that we win out. I can see us going 2-2 in those games, and finishing the season 8-4.

Just be thankful its not after the WPIAL high school playoff games there, that field is real beat up towards the end of the year. I think it's been rated the worst playing surface in the NFL.

That might be correct but Armondo is fighting for those yards in every play. We barely make back to the line of skrimage on most of our run plays. Have you been watching the same team I have? Hardly ever do we get a break away run for 15 or more.

Dude you are the rogue amongst all pot heads. How's a toker such a realist? You would not enjoy me stoned...

LOL!!!! Thats funny. Who's the joker that said I was fisted by an elephant anyway???? I thought that was kinda funny and just for the record.... elephants dont have fists, but whatever. Anyway Those who are backing me up....Thank you and appreciated.

Look, I may sound like a homer some times.....Errrrrr all of the time. I'm just who I am and I'm never going to change. Just because I pick or bet against Notre Dame doesnt mean I want or root for them to lose, Its just me being me, I'm not going to pretend to be something I'm not and just always say were going to win.

It's who I am and I never asked you to like it. You can like me or hate me, You can argue with me or agree with me. Its all up to you really. Thats what makes being an American so special. We all have choices.

Anyone else find it ironic that the game at Stanford could be the make or break BCS game? Weren't Brady and Shark in the same scenario a few years back?

Something about a last desperation TD for a win...

We have to actually run it more than once a drive to determine weather we have a run game to begin with. Charlie just needs to switch it up more.

I dont think they vote us high enough for BCS game even if we end up 10/2. With that said Pitt and Stanford is a 'tough row to hoe' boys and if they end up 10/2 this has been a great season and get ready for a run in '10.

Much easier with Michael Floyd, as well.

Its a shame we lost him so early in the season...I really think he would have made a huge difference in the outcome of the Michigan game. Our defense just wasn't ready for that game. I think a lot of the close games we have played would have been a little different as well. I'm looking forward to a massacre Saturday please. I can't handle anymore near cardiac arrests.
