Sorry folks, but I have to be up at 2:30am, to be at work at 4am. So here are my observations, with 3:00 left in the 4th. I'll try to come up with something better, after work tomorrow.
1. It was really nice to see Coach Kelly stick with the run. Of course, that's easy to do when you are up by four scores. But the combination of Cierre Wood, Jonas Gray, and Robert Hughes was pretty successful, against an undersized opponent.
2. Congrats to the Defense on another fine game. It was Army, and they didn't exactly blow them off the field like Holtz's defenses used to do, but they played solid (minus Army's first possession).
3. We saw some great, and some not so great, from Tommy Rees. Both of his end zone passes to Eifert were very nice throws. Both of his picks were really bad. He showed flashes of being a very good QB, and flashes of being a true freshman.
4. Tyler Eifert needs a haircut.
Congrats to the entire team for picking up their 6th win and getting bowl eligible. There were many times this season when the team could have quit, and they didn't.
Good night, everyone
