Just read an article about the expansion of the NCAA Basketball Tournmament--wanting to expand it to either 68 or 96 teams. 96 teams is ridiculous. If you cant hack it in your own conference then you dont belong in the tournament. And if you argue "well what if a conference is tougher than another" then i guess thats what an RPI is for. I really hope they do not consider this. After all, I dont want to waste more of my employers money picking an extra 31 games, haha.

On another note, here is an interesting response to that article suggesting how expansion of the field to 96 could influence the college football BCS landscape with the formation of "Super-Conferences." The last paragraph of this article is interesting. This article is hypothetical but hypothetically speaking (or asking), could these possible formations of "Super-Conferences" affect ND's postion on joining a conference in football? I would say no but who knows.
