with thanks to SWDomer for the graph I think it is usefull how many schollie players we could expect to target to get in on each position.
Firstly on how many schollies we can probably offer next year. We at the moment have 81 schollies out with the current commitments. I feel like we arent going to fill the last four. I'm proceeding under the assumption that we grab one more guy. With 17 guys running out of eligebility I feel free it is safe to assume we are going to try and at least mirror the positions leaving mainly.
by positions:
QB we only have 2 under schollies so we grab at least 1
RB with Aldridge leaving we grab at least one if riddick moves to defense 2 perhaps
FB is we dont get gaffney or move hughes we will surely grab one next year
WR we have 2 guys leaving(parris, west), maybe 3 if golden tate declares but i think we will bring in 2 or maybe 3 if nyshier oliver plays defense.
TE with 3 guys in sophomore eligebility and 2 guys coming in (posibly both redshirting) i cant see us getting more than one.
OT We lose 2 but prolly bring in three due to the strength of the class at this position and the fact that we only have six OT on schollies at the moment.
OG with back to back good classes and just olson leaving is see us bringing back 1
C We have one for every year for eligibility and will keep doing that imo.
DT We have 7 guys under schollies and are losing none of them so i cant see us grabbing more than 1
DE+hybrids also seven guys with schollies but we lose two so i think we will try and bring in two
OLB we have three guys under schollies and lose one, i feel we will try and bring 2 back
MLB with 6 guys with a schollie and us losing just 1 we prolly will try and bring in 1 or 2
CB we have 6 guys with schollies of which we lose 2 so i think we need to bring in at least 3 with the modern spread offenses.
S We have 5 guys with schollies but we will lose 3 so we need to bring in 2 at least (the numbers could change since I could see either Riddick or Oliver being played as a safety)
We need no specialists.

makes 21 schollies which would be the amount of schollies we have with no-one declaring early. We will prolly have some room since we could lose tate and maybe walls to the draft but I hope not. We could also not give for instance burkhart his fifth year, idem for paddy mullen, barry gallup. This would open up three more schollies which we could use for an extra mlb, qb,rb or safety which would be nice.
