I got to thinking the other day...wow, they have way too much in common. And since it's football and election season, why not?

1) They have to be likeable to their bases

2) They have to be strong in sales/ persuasion

3) They can't get in trouble outside of work

4) They really have to impress/ kiss up to the people who pay their salaries every year

5) They usually get fired or change jobs every 2-4 years

Here's what I've got so far: feel free to add! Should be fun...


Ty Willingham = Obama. Both were labeled "the one" and both are/ were in farrrrrr over their heads.

Charlie Weis = Chris Christie. NJ attitude. Blunt. To the point. Funny. Oh and...neither misses any meals.

Frank Beamer = Newt Gingrich. Been around forever, almost same body frame.

Urban Meyer = Bill Clinton. Both gifted liars who won't go away.

Eric Dooley = George Bush. Both southern guys who make the English language sound incredibly funny. Both have law degrees, too.

Les Miles = Joe Biden. Never know WTF they're gonna say or do next.

Lane Kiffin = Marco Rubio. Both are very young in the biz, but always making noise.

Bobby Petrino = John Edwards. Nuff said. At least when Petrino had an affair, it wasn't while his wife was battling cancer.

Harry Truman = Lou Holtz Short of stature but long on character. Blunt. To the point. Mr. The buck stops here and Mr What's Important Now.

Richard Nixon = Joe Paterno Careers that will only be remembered in time for what they should have done but didn't.

Ulysses Grant = Bear Bryant many victories and too many bottles.

Millard Fillmore = Joe Kuharich. Who?

Abraham Lincoln = Knute Rockne Both built a Nation and died too young.

Lou Holtz = Abraham Lincoln/Gandhi/Nelson Mandela/Both Rosevelts Hybrid.. Basically a Champion of the people, someone who will stand up and say whats right and lead the broken and destitute to achieve great things.

Lane Kiffin = Adolf Hitler.... Great Orator and deceiver of millions.

I was hoping someone would say Lou Holtz = Ronald Reagan.

Maybe Saban is Reagan? Minus the whole cowboy thing.
