How does everyone like the playcalling so far in the season?? To me it seems like they bring out all their plays early in the game and when they need a play they can't seem to find the right play. Hopefully on this week off they look deeper into their playbook (I am sure there are plays that we haven't seen) and use more plays this season.

I think, overall, the play calling has been pretty good. There are always a few instances here and there where I'm yelling "What the hell was that?" at the screen, but I think that's true when you're a fan of any team at any level. I would imagine even the play-callers themselves sometimes wonder in hindsight, "What the hell was I thinking there?"

The thing I do really like is that it seems over the last few games, the coaches have learned that this team needs to pass to set up the run. With our current 'O' line, I believe that is exactly the right move.

I liked the no-huddle spread. Overall its been better than last year, but they get too tentative and predictable playing with the lead.

Too simple

Too simple

I'm not sure if they are saving something for each game that comes by but I think we are missing alot of plays and formations that I think would add to keeping the defense guessing and keep them off balance. Here are some examples:

1. The bubble screen
2. The shovel pass out of the shotgun
3. Direct snap to Golden Tate
4. More screen passes
5. A reverse every other game
6. More two back set running plays (Schwapps blocking has beengreat so far)
7. Quick pitch running plays
8. More QB sneaks
9. Quick out to Flyd (not Kamara or Grimes). Floyd gets more deep threat respect so
he gets a bigger cushion.
10. Backfield of GT at QB running the option with Schwapp and Allen.
11. More dump off passing and quick slants hittng the WR in stride
12. No more quick outs unless the DB is playing 10 yards off the ball.

There I think that covers it. Did I miss anything?

Nice. Especially like #7. It seems to have been completely abandoned, and replaced by the stretch. Or something.

Agree.

I definitely agree w/ore bubble screens and shovel passes (1 or 2 of each per game). Have they even tried a shovel pass yet this year?

i despise the stretch play. i'd love to see tate or grimes get some reverse action in the red zone especially and i wouldn't mind some motion.
