What happened? I don't mean the ending, I mean what did the team do wrong?

They only shot 29% in the second half. Also, for some reason Brey only played 3 people off the bench compared to Tech's five. Hard to hold a lead with bad shooting and no bench.

Baylor defeated Winthrop 62-54. Hard to believe we went 1-2 with this average at best field on teams in the tournament.

I've always liked Brey, and back when he turned us from a NIT team to a NCAA Tourney team, I appreciated 20-win seasons, but I thought that in we would have progressed more in the past few years than we have. I don't understand not playing Tyrone Nash for a few minutes considering the fact that he is our most athletic and versatile freshman. Overall, I can see him learning from this and trying to build some momentum for the Preseason NIT starting December 4th.

Final Tournament Standings:
1: Baylor
2: Winthrop
3: Georgia Tech
4. Monmouth?????
5. Notre Dame
6. Charlotte
7. Wichita State
8. Illinois-Chicago

I think there should be a rule that if you if you lose to a team by 43 points, that you cant be ranked ahead of them. Overall, a very, very dissappointing tournament for the Irish.

I agree, but Monmouth's only loss of the tourney was to ND, while the Irish went 1-2.
