Paddy has been offered by ND. He'll probably be our first commit. Big time player, can't wait to see him play for ND.

Also I heard this is the most offers ND has given by March 31 in school history.

i heard that if Mullen committs, that there is a good chance that Munir Prince might follow him...they are teammates at the same high school. Prince verbaled to Iowa, but has opened up his recriuting again. Much like in the case of David Nelson, except in this case, it works in our favor

He's got to come to ND just based on his name alone.

Everything else is gravy.

Ht: 6-5 Wt: 265 40: 4.72
Position: TE, DE
Projected as: TE, DE
Birthplace: St. Louis, MO
Class: 2006 Senior
High School: De Smet Jesuit HS
(St. Louis, MO)

Biography:
As a junior, tallied 27 tackles (20 solo), nine for a loss, seven sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one interception. Played the first seven games with a broken hand that disabled him from playing tight end, where he is projected by some in college. Holds a 2.5 GPA.

Coach's Comments: "Paddy just flat gets off the ball," said head coach Pat Mahoney. "He beats everyone off his stance, and he uses his hands very well. He has a move he makes upfield, a move off the line, and as he gets bigger his bull rush continues to improve. He has just the right combination of size, speed, and strength."

:clover:

Oklahoma, Michigan, and Iowa are absent from the list of schools extending offers. Interest from several other traditional programs, including LSU and Nebraska.

He needs to get his grades up...and ACT score. Once that happens, he's already said he's taking an ND offer and no counter offer will be accepted.

what kind of star rating is this guy?

Emfinger has him as a 5 star player. And have him rated as the 7th best strongside defensive end in the country, which is a need position for us.

Iowa is still his #1 but Notre Dame, Nebraska, Michigan State, and Northwestern are now also receiving consideration. Hopefully Paddy boy can lure him to ND....

Speedy Missouri tailback names leader

Missouri’s Munir Prince is one of the top athletes in the nation. Prince was offered a scholarship by Iowa before his junior year and the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder, from St. Louis (DeSmet Jesuit) quickly accepted the Hawkeye offer. Prince has since taken a step back and opened his recruitment back up. We caught up with Munir and asked him why he had a change of heart.

“I just felt that I needed to be true to myself and check out all the universities that are interested in me.” Munir Prince said.

“I wanted to be open to all the opportunities that might come my way. When Iowa offered me a scholarship, I was excited, but after the dust settled and I went through my junior year, I began to feel like I rushed things a little bit.”

Prince has been a varsity starter since his freshman year. As a freshman, Munir was a special team’s standout for Seffner (Fla.) Armwood and then moved to St. Louis, Mo. and made an immediate impact as a running back and defensive back at DeSmet Jesuit.

“I think I rushed for about 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns as a sophomore,” said Prince.

“I also had 3 pics on defense and returned a couple of those for a touchdown. I think I had about 30 solo tackles as well.”

Prince had to fight a bit of the injury bug this past season and he finished with just under 1,000 yards rushing.

“I finished this past season with 926 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns. I did have a few injuries but I still was named All-Metro Player of the Year.”

The injuries that Prince had to fight through didn’t stop several top schools from offering Prince a scholarship.

Notre Dame, Iowa, Ohio State, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern and Kansas have all offered full rides. We asked Prince if he had a leader for his services.

“It’s definitely Notre Dame right now,” said Prince. “I’m big into academics and Notre Dame has the best of both worlds. Notre Dame has incredible academics and one of the most storied football programs in the country.

“I’m looking for a career in Sports Medicine and Notre Dame is looking like the best bet right now but I’m also considering Iowa, Nebraska, Michigan State and Nebraska.”

Prince told Scout.com that he will be in South Bend this weekend for an unofficial visit with the Irish. Munir said his summer plans will include camp stops at both Northwestern and Nebraska.

This is only the beginning. The best recruiters are the kids themselves. They talk and can do so without NCAA limitations. Just two high school guys talking on the phone. The buzz around the ND program right now is unreal.
