If you wanna get seriously ripped its the best out there. I just do a lot of the stomach exercises from the DVD and my abs are the best they've been.

My sister and brother in law have been trying to do it since before Thanksgiving... This is the fifth time they've tried it. It's hard when you have Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthdays and such because of the strict eating regimen. I would say it is pretty hardcore though.

I'm getting ready to start it I think.....I read that after your first workout a lot of people puke, so it does kind of sound like the Longo Regimen :)

I heard Ray Lewis, Brett Favre, hundreds of others have done it.

Billy Irish how do you like it?

Have not personally done it, more of a weight lifting guy myself, but isometric exercises certainly have their benefit. Couple of friends have done it, and they have said nothing but great things about it. Its a tough regimen from what i have heard though, you have to have alot of dedication to getting fit to stay on course.

That being said, I personally believe the best way to get fit is to stay fit. Muscle has good memory, but sedentary lifestyles such as sitting on a computer all day posting on IrishEnvy:), can destroy your body in short time if you let it go.

Through three days it's been a great workout. There are 3 different levels to try. So really just about anyone can do it. I was in moderately good shape but, went to the gym and really started to curb my diet for 3 weeks prior to starting the program. The diet, as I am sure it is for most people, is the hardest thing to stay committed to. I work a third shift job and also bartend in the evening 4 times a week; so i am always eating on the go. The George Foreman grill has helped me eat healthy and keep up with my frantic schedule. All i have to do is season the chicken breast and put it on the pre-heated grill, seven or eight minutes later it's done. minimal clean-up.

I have heard nothing but good things about P90X. I have sets of 5lb, 10lb, 20lb, and 25lb dumbbells. The ad says you only need a set, but I would recommend having these to start out with. A set of workout bands could be used instead of the weights. P90X is a commitment. Don't do this if you are going to half ass it. It would be a waste of time and money.

cool, i run pretty often, maybe 4 times a week, i am not in great shape by any standards and have only been lifting for only a month now, i enjoy going to the gym and I've heard if you do this daily, you won't be doing any other activities, Is that true?

I have been looking into getting it, but I just can't see myself doing the workouts at home. I am the kind of guy that needs to get out and go to a gym. My house is where I keep the Guinness and other "distractions". Right NDOM???

I dont think that is necessarily true. The workouts are tough and you will need some recovery time depending on what you want to do. I play hoops a couple of times a week. On those days, I try and do P90x early in the morning. What you put into it, is what you will get out of it.

Totally coincidental. Glad to know it was 4:20 - must be Karma!

Speaking of 420, have you seen AVATAR in 3-D while high? Wow! Waaaaayyy too trippy. When I went to the movie, I had some really good chili cheese fries before the show and they were sooooo freakin' good. This girl in the theatre kept texting and the blue light of her phone kept messing with me during the movie. I dropped my phone in the parking lot the other day. It didn't break, but now the thing has a crack in the screen. Not cool. I should get another phone, but I don't have time. Work sucks. I wish I was an AVATAR. Like 10 feet tall. But having a tail would really be a hassle. Did they have special AVATAR toilets that were tail-compatable?

Wait...what? Who you callin' pothead?

I have been doing it since February. I have always been an athlete and in good shape, but not like this. Like others have said, you get out of it what you put in, but if you just suck it up and do it every day (while eating right), you are going to see big results. I am in the best shape I've been in since at least high school, maybe ever.

I know TT does it as well, and maybe a few others. Good luck man, its tough, but definitely doable. The only days I don't look forward to are Plyo days, but those are the days I feel best afterwards, so it's worth it.

Get ready to sweat buckets tomorrow my man. Quads, thighs and calves will be burning. Tough during, but worth it after.

My buddy did the ful thing 3 months out from bootcamp for the Marines. He said if he hadn't he would have struggled. Instead he finished 4th in his class. Pretty legit stuff.

Awesome and absolutely brutal. Plyo-X is a total a$$-kicker. If you can get through it the FIRST time, that in itself is an accomplishment.

Been through it twice (lost over 35lbs in fat).

Gotta stick to the diet. You could have the best workout in the world, but you need to watch what you put in your body.

I highly recommend. But you gotta stay committed. Good Luck!!

I'm watching my wife do AB Ripper X as I type this. She is in week 5 right now and I'm impressed with her results. She has never been one to stick with a workout routine however, P90X seems to work for her. I personally prefer Insanity, but its a bit more advanced.
