Does anybody know who is still in the market for jobs? Specifically: Is Norm Chow staying with USC for sure, and has Tom Clements been formally mentioned for the Pitt job?

Neither is formal yet. I really hope Chow goes to BYU though. I'd love to see how good Carroll is w/o his offensive genius calling the plays.

ESPN.com reports:

Bronco Mendenhall will be promoted from Defensive Coordinator to Head Coach at BYU.

Stanford has also come to terms with Pitt Head coach Walt Harris.

I heard Dave Wannstedt might go coach Pitt. bob Davie has been mentioned lol I'm serious. Clements could be a possible candidate for the Pitt job, I hear he has some connections their. I also heard someone say the other day Chow might go to Washington as the OC, I highly doubt that though. Wouldn't make sense for him to leave USC.

Where did this Bob Davie rumor start? What happened to Clements (who I would actually prefer stay in the NFL)?

My concern is that Davie has thrown his own name out for consideration and then withdrawn it, with the AD of the school in question saying Davie was a shameless self-promoter and a fraud (Univeristy of Cincinnati). I can't help but wonder if he is doing this again.

Bob Davie has no business being the head coach of anything. Defensive Coordinator maybe, but not the head coach.
