OK Dammit...one question

I literally left for vacation right after the game and only just got back online to read the board.

Have we really lost our perspective???

Our team got beat. By who? Us.

We got beat by OUR OWN MISTAKES - 5 T.O.s!!! Those were turned into 24 points. We came out flat and got taken care of by a confident Wolverines team.

Let's focus now, this is only ONE GAME. And yes, it pretty much torches our chances of a NC ths year. But let's think back to 2003 & 2004 we were getting HAMMERED by crappy teams. Not just top teams like Michigan.

So here we are with a HEART-WRENCHING loss. One that we really brought on ourselves.

Does this mean the season is over? Hell no.
Does this mean the team has much to prove? Hell yes.
Does this affect who should be hired/fired? God no.

The best teams will have tough losses as they climb back to greatness.

That team today is Notre Dame.

Our boys have the chance to take this loss and turn around the team... I for one believe it will do just that.

Have faith fellow Irish. Have faith.

If you really want to put this into context, I was a helluva lot more heart broken last year at USCs loss. We just got smacked in the mouth by Michigan and came out complacent (meaning you could feel the loss early in the game). We are not a top 5 team and a 9-3 or 10-2 season will be a great year (as many have predicted before the season).

Also, I have just been informed that I still have to go to work on Monday whether ND wins or loses!! Life MUST GO ON (or so they say)!!

USC was heartbreaking, but the loss was more expected. Then ending was the killer.

I think we will end up 10-2, but I know we can pull off 11-1.

This team needs to believe it...and play like it.

SC loss was much worse. And this lose was a little more acceptable because of how the game started. It just looked like we were going to lose from the start. But, the lose hurt really bad, just the same.

Matt Leinart throws a dart on fourth down. Then Reggie Bush puhes him in. Dont get more heartbreaking then that. This one is more liking stubbing your toe. Let's Go Dame!!!!!
