Wenger looked especially pathetic. If charlie had balls, he'd fire Latina right NOW. They OL has no fire, no technique, no heart, etc. They flat out suck.

I do miss Jeff Faine. I don't think you can coach passion like that, though..... You either have it, or you don't.

Absolutely right, you either have the passion to go out and bust somebody in the mouth, or you don't. Your coach can't possibly give that to you. I never played football past high school ( I also played for a Catholic school who were called the Fighting Irish), but when I walked out on that field every Friday night, I wanted to fucking hurt someone, and hurt them badly......and I played with a great bunch of guys who felt the same way every week. I have 2 TN. State Championship Rings (somewhere buried in closet) to show for it. I'm just not seeing that passion out of a lot of the guys on the field for ND. I feel bad for the seniors the most, to play your last home game and get beaten by a 2-8 team.
And Clausen? please......there is NO passion there........it's not easy for him like it was when he was in high school........that kid is a crybaby, just like his brother was when he was at UT.

It looked like at least Olsen and maybe T. Rob (too early to tell) had that killer instinct. I've been preaching this forever, but I honestly think the OL coaching is weak and reactive. When Minter was still here the D was pathetic and confused. How many long TD passes have we given up since Corwin took over? Very few. A coaching change can make a huge difference. Much like the OL needs now. FIRE THE OL COACH and things will change. He has been mediocre at best, horribly pathetic and embarrassing at worst.

Running the ball and stopping the run is about ATTITUDE and DESIRE. These two things have been severly lacking on this team

I noticed that quite a few times also. Center or guard has no one to block and LB runs right by them 1 second later.

Along with Latina, I think Mendoza has to go. Not just because the Oline doesn't look strong, but a lot of our players go down after the first hit. Our boys need more strength across the board. Latina and Mendoza both need to go in my opinion.

On the fourth and 2 that went for no gain, the Orange had 10 men in the box... I think that play should have been audibled to another play by Clausen... but after saying that, how does their nose guard who had 30 tackles total all year make 15 tackles in a single game against us??? that is pathetic... next year Cave needs to give our center a fight for first team.

glad someone else saw them standing there with thier hands in their chests looking for someone to not hit while the lb ran right through the hole they moved out of. happened at least 3 times yesterday.

wenger was the biggest offender yesterday him along with olsen. they were both absolutely terrible yesterday. no fire no anger no ability to reach block anyone. if they did bother themselves to block someone they would get in their way and then let them flow to the ball a second later. no control no drive no heart.

sam young is just as bad, he is the weakest 6'8 310lbs i have ever seen, on top of that he lacks coordination. i dont care if he was a 5 star recruit he is not a 5 star player and never has been since he got here. its 3 years starting now i have had enough of him. turkovich is gone, he played decently...

can anyone tell me why some of these freshmen that we have did not play this year? i am hoping they did not want to waste possible red shirts. i can have hope that these kids will step it up but am scared to death that they will fall into the same bad habits as the group we have.

wenger and olsen both needed to be sat down yesterday and have it explained to them that if they are going to play that way they will not play. i dont care how much talent you have if you dont play hard you dont play. i said it in the game thread, ill say it again. i only need 11 players who really want to leave it all on the field. the rest can go home i will work with those 11. we should have put mike anello in there at guard, at least he would have busted his ass and fought tooth and nail, biting and scratching to get that damn dt out of the hole or keep him from the qb.

they just look weak, flabby, uncoordinated.... and dont get me started on the long hair :)

they're certainly no shortage of talent along that line. coaching issues is no secret in that area. going back to the original post, men like faine made me proud. i expected 5 faines on the line after weis' first speak about nasty.
