Odd Football Question

I have an autographed Lou Holtz football. The football lost it's little rubber plug/seal you use to inflate it. I can buy the plug, but you can't insert it without cutting the laces or threads which I'm not going to do. I was thinking of using some of the expanding foam to blow it back up, but wondered if anyone else has any ideas?...........Thx

I would not recommend the spray foam as it has solvents that could denature the innards and overtime even get to the leather. A buddy of my used fix-a-flat and it initially worked and did well but after five years or so it started to fail and became a mess.

I would suggest maybe having it mounted in a shadow box with other paraphernalia.

There is always sports paraphernalia restorers. I know they exist and they are expensive.

Take it to an experienced cobbler. They'll fix it for a fair price.
