Hey guys, I was doing some research about last year ND's offense. Of all the programs in the FBS, Notre Dame ranked 50th in plays per game with 75 (Still almost eight more than last year's offense with 67.3, would rank among the worst in college football this year). Baylor was the fastest offense in the country, with 90 (!!!!!!) plays per game...
Kelly sometimes said that he would turn the speed of the game down if he needed to, because of Golson's mistakes. Sometimes I think we could play faster, specially with the talent that we have to run the football (still, ND ranked among the worst in the FBS in rushing attempts per game with only 37), I think that really could lead to more points.
Anyway, Kelly doesnt seem to be a huge fan of this style of play in particular. What do you guys think? Should NDs offense speed up?
