No 5th year for Eric Maust

South Bend Tribune and Irish Illustrated are saying there will be no 5th year for the punter. So i guess it's Ben Turk's job to lose?

How many kickers did we have on scholrship? This opens a spot for someone else. He earned his degree hopefully and sai in an interview that he'll stay in shape an give baseball another try next year and if it doesn't work out then it's onto rhe real world.

I didn't think Turk was that great last year, but I blame the weird blocking scheme and obviously poor coaching. Good luck to Maust, but an extra punter isn't really my first concern.

I think Turk had a great showing at the spring game, he had 2 nice deep punts and looked good kicking against Nick Tausch. however with Kyle Brendiza coming in Turk wont see any action place kicking.

amen. if i see that fkn blocking scheme with the player 3 steps in front of the punter i am going to smash all the tv's in the house and then call ND to pay for them. hopefully we have coaches that will employ a better strategy on punts and give Turk freedom to extend and blast.
