the future has yet to speak- let's see if the "broken records" and 9 win seasons will hold- if so- you have made your point...If not, what a waste of a ten year deal

Unreal. Ledge jumping, wrist slitting...I'd go to war with none of you.
Tearjerking pessimists and sugarcoating optimists, please stay out of Jigga's way. Try to look at things from an even scale viewpoint. All is not lost, yet all is not peachy.
Yes, let the work on the field next year do the talking.
I am a little more than annoyed by the cheap shots hurled by you and others about the Weis contract. What ND does with their money is none of your damned business.DeeRock said:Ditto!! The quick 10 year contract still doesn't make any sense to me- win the big ones didn't reward CW. He had a good run- but so did many other first year coaches @ ND- and they didn't get any love like he has received- Mind boggling!

Look, Weis got out coached. Whoever said that is right. Whoever the DC was did a poor job. He should have learned from the Michigan game, but instead, he fell into the EXACT SAME TRAPS that doomed us. First, he tried to stop short runs up the middle and medium range passes. So, what does OSU do? They throw it up top. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Next, you need to have a weak side OLB spot Smith in case he runs. What happened on key 3rd and long situations. Smith scrambled for 1st downs. Your DC really screwed up this game. He had a game to go on, but instead he failed to learn from other teams' mistakes. And the offensive playcalling wasn't that great either. Why did Weis abandon the run so early? Why did he try to go up top in the 1st quarter? I mean, did he really think OSU's linebackers were just going to sit there and give Quinn all day? And forget Quinn winning anything next year. He cannot make good decisions under pressure or when the play is busted. This was clearly evident today and when I saw him a while back. Quinn is the beneficiary of Weis, who usually calls great games where first options are always open. Today was an exception, of course.
This game should have been 45-7. I think this is a huge setback for your program. You can't lose by being dominated by the other team (offense, defense, coaching). And what was really funny was Weis saying after the game about gambling. Well, I guess what he meant to say was "OSU is much better, so we have to gamble to win" Yeah, great coach you've got there. I just can't wait until next year when we annhilate you guys in a revenge game.

He made good decisions, and didn't lay down when blitzed. He evaded quite a few sacks this year, and then proceeded to make a good pass down field. Why did he try to go up top in the first quarter? Not the first time it's happened this year. Quinn to Sam over the top happened a few times in the first quarter. Then again, I could have imagined the whole thing.

VictorsValiant said:I didn't see much greatness coming out of Weis or his coaching staff. It seemed to me that they were arrogant about it, thinking that what worked throughout the season was somehow magically going to work against OSU.
