Via Rothstein at IrishInsights:

Kerry Neal has officially passed Anthony Vernaglia at one outside linebacker. Vernaglia, a senior, is listed as the backup to John Ryan. Brian Smith and Morrice Richardson are listed as "OR" backing up Neal.

Sergio Brown has passed Ray Herring for No. 2 behind Tom Zbikowski on the depth chart at safety.

Dan Wenger is now officially the backup center. Matt Carufel is listed as the starting right guard (he's played there since Wenger's injury) and Eric Olsen is backing him up.

Derrell Hand is now listed as the backup to Trevor Laws at left defensive end, listed as an "OR" with Paddy Mullen.

Geoff Price, not surprisingly, officially passed Eric Maust as the starting punter again.

Personally I am happy about these changes. Sucks for Vernaglia, but Neal has shown huge ability and only improves every week. Can't say I know much about Sergio Brown - I guess that means that H. Smith will take over for Bruton eventually. Wenger is a true center from what the staff says, so glad that we have Carufel in there and Wenger can replace Sully. Hand.... well he won't be seeing the field too often when he backs up Laws (I think Laws has clocked the most minutes this season on the field). Price, glad to see him back in AA form (Gipp, not anonymous).

I'm a little surprised that Sergio Brown is listed above Herring. According to my info, Brown has played only on Sprcial teams. Herring's PT does seem to have diminished over the last few games, though. Otherwise, I think it shows the maturing of the team.

Yeah, Herring actually didn't see the field at all last week, or the week before. Sergio's got five tackles on the season to Ray's three right now, but the BGI playing time breakdown - which didn't include the UCLA game - lists him as having played only on special teams.

Like I said, though, more on all of this later.
