Need help have viruses

sbybot search and destroy is a good free one, but your best bet is to pay up for one. I've got Kaspersky.

How do you know you have viruses and spyware? One option is to try disk cleanup and disk defragment.

Every "pro" has told me that AVG AntiVirus Free is all you need.

I have three programs that work wonders.

First category Spyware/malware: The program that takes care of this is Malware Bytes.org
Second category Virus: AVG free basic download does a pretty good job.
Third category general junk: CCleaner, this gets rid of old temp files, roots that aren't being used anymore and a bunch of other junk. It also fixes some crap on your computer that you may still use.

I regularly use malware bytes, cccleaner, spybot, and adaware.

Avast AntiVirus, free for home use is fantastic. Or you could install Linux and not have to worry about that crap.

Microsoft has a new free security package. I've been using it for 4 months now and it works like a charm. Called Microsoft Security Essentials. You just go to google and search for it... download it from the Microsoft website and you'll be all good in not time. It's clean and light and doesn't clog up your system with a lot of useless add-ons.
