A couple of observations from tonight:
1. If I hear bedlum from ESPN/ABC one more time I'm going to fucking scream. Talk about parrots. It's more redundant than the non-stop screen shots of Quinn's sister during the Fiesta Bowl from a few years ago.
2. If CW is to be fired, I don't want it to be because of the donors. We have a problem in America with reactionaries seizing control of companies and institutions and imposing their will. Many corporate hirings and firings are dictated by huge pension funds that aquire controlling interest in companies. The people don't, for the most part, have a fucking clue how to run a company but they are the de facto owners and impose their wills. The same thing is true of big name donors and universities. These people donate big bucks and instead of doing it for the betterment of the university, they do it to gain influence with the school's atheltic decision makers. They threaten to take away their funding if the school's don't succumb to their collective will. It turns the AD and the schools' administrations into subservient buffoons.
