ND Hockey Wins Shillelagh Tourney

After a 3-3 tie in regulation, Jeff Jackson's ND Icers Defeated the North Dakota Fightin' Sioux 2-1 in the shootout to capture the Shillelagh Tourney in Hoffman Estates, IL tonight. The Skating Irish have now won 3 in a row. Hopefully, they are set for a big second half run. Kyle Palmieri is making big contributions for the US Junior Team at the World Junior Championships. The US team is currently playing Sweden in the semi-final game. Go Irish. Go USA.

That was a great confidence booster for the Irish, espescially since North Dakota was ranked 3rd. Hopefully they'll build off that win and make a strong push in the last portion of the season.
