Okay, so my PC took a crap the other day. I'm still not sure what the problem was, probably spyware or adware or something like that. Either way, it wasn't a big deal. I took it in to get wiped. I usually back everything up that's important onto a disc, so I didn't lose anything valuable. Just the inconvenience of the situation was all it cost me, and now having to re-save bookmarks and things of that nature.
But now that I have the equivelent of a new computer sitting in front of me, with no bookmarks or favorite links, I started putting back much of what was there before. I did the rounds and bookmarked B&G, Irish Eyes, Irish Envy, Gold Helmet etc....
But the situation got me thinking. "Where does everybody else go for ND news and information"? What's your first stop when you get on the computer? What sites do you have bookmarked and visit the most frequently? Is there perhaps a great ND site out there that I don't know about?
I'm pretty certain that if there is a ND site out there, I've got it bookmarked. But who knows, maybe some of you guys have sites bookmarked that I have never seen or heard of.
I thought it would be neat to start a thread about it. Perhaps some fans will find out about other great ND sites that they didn't already know about. Even if nobody lists a link that is new to anyone, at the very least, I thought it would be interesting to see where all my fellow ND fans go first for news and info on the team.
Feel free to offer your opinion of the various other sites, forums and blogs on the net. I am also curious about which is the most popular ND site? Which site does every ND fan consider a "must have" on the bookmarks list? What site should ND fans stay away from? Which forums are best, which blogs are best and which ND site has the best video and audio coverage?
Also, news sites. I think most ND fans probably have the South Bend Tribune and The Observer listed. Some people like NBC's Notre Dame Central coverage... is there any other newspaper websites that are a must have on the bookmarks list?
