What I think happens is we win all of our remaining regular season games except at Georgetown and then win one or two games in the BE tourney which puts us at a 4 seed.

Notre Dame Team Notes – USATODAY.com

THIS WEEK'S GAMES:
--vs. West Virginia, Feb. 22
KEY MATCHUPS: This is a tricky game for the streaking Irish, as WVU is a strong team that is desperate for victories. Notre Dame went to Morgantown and won, 55-51, in a hard-fought, physical battle, and this game has all the makings of the same. Kevin Jones of WVU is the leading candidate for Big East Player of the Year and leading the conference in scoring and rebounding. Notre Dame's Jack Cooley is making a late run to steal away some votes, although his statistics cannot match those of Jones. The key to the game may well come down to where Cooley or WVU center Deniz Kilicli, riding a hot streak himself, can dominate in the paint.
--at St. John's Feb. 25
KEY MATCHUPS: A trip to Madison Square Garden will prepare the Irish for the Big East tournament. St. John's is a young, eager team that has not had much success, while Notre Dame has proven it can win on the road, taking three in a row. The Irish guards should be able to control the tempo of the game. St. John's has a pair of big-time scoring freshmen in D'Angelo Harrison, averaging 16.9 points a game, and Moe Harkless at 15.7.
FUTURES MARKET: Notre Dame is now starting to think about the NCAA tournament and beyond. This late-season surge has made the Irish believe they can make a long run in the tournament, in part because they can play either up-tempo or slow-down and because they have the ability not only to score from the outside but to let C Jack Cooley handle matters down low.
