Does this diminish ND's win against usc? Opinions

The problem with bowl games is that when you are a supposed elite team and have a bummer season (see USC this year) or get put in a bowl that you think should have been better (see Alabama when Utah pounded them) your attention span and care about it factor are virtually Nil.

USC gave us their best shot with what they had because we are rivals, and it was important.

Didn't Alabama get thumped in the Sugar Bowl? Was there another bowl they thought they should have been in that year? All the years run together for me now.

Thats what I was saying. They got beat by Florida in the SEC championship game and seemed to lose all interest after their undefeated season got spoiled.
