Hord is coming off a serious injury so I dont know how he'll look on his return. I think Kamara starts from day 1, hes a legit 6-5(we know Weis loves tall receivers) and most importantly hes got very good hands.

I've heard that the coaching staff weren't getting all they wanted from Scwapp, and on the other hand Schmidt is looking real good. Schmidt is a HUGE back and adds another weapon to the offense because of his speed and soft hands.

Hord didn't look good in spring ball from what I saw and heard. Dropped alot of catchable balls, wasn't confertable yet with his legs.

looking to get Armando Allen on the field so, I'd be he is going to return kicks along with Golden Tate (if he is over his hand injury). Can't see Chris Stewart starting, #2 man at best. He has the size to take up space, but I think he is too injury prone.

Injuries are probably much of it, but Schwapp has never impressed me much in his short career. I could see Schmidt being a factor.

As good as McNeil and Walls are supposed to be and as bad as are corners were last year any chance by seasons end they will have the majority of the snaps at corner?

Just curious guys, what happened to your 3rd QB? If I remember correctly, his name was Jones (or something, I don't remember exactly).

If Chris Stewart is starting at NT, a miracle will occur.

Or they're in serious trouble.

I expect Kerry Neal to be on the field...he's a beast and very versitle. Also, AA should be utilized often. Can't wait to see if Tate, Smith or any other summer arriving Frosh will press for time. Its exciting, the unknown...

Go Irish!

If Armando Allen is as good and fast as I have read, and heard from different boards he needs to be in the game somehow more then just a return man.

I agree that schwapp will start. Also, I'm not sure Munir is going to be running back kicks. Althought Weis may give him a chance due to putting him on D. I think it's gonna be one of the freshmen.

Axl, the biggest thing I'd note is putting Brockington at OLB. He's about 235, which is pretty small for a 3-4 OLB. And thats just about where he maxes out, since he weighed in even lighter during last year. Not to mention, he's been getting reps at ILB ever since the scheme changed. Still though, even though his name wasn't mentioned at all between Vernaglia and Mitchell Thomas last year, Brockington ended up with the most PT amongst them, so he could surprise once more.

Other than that, the sound of it is that Ian Williams will be given a shot at NT. But a lot of the DL guys sound like they can be shuffled around, like Hand, so your guess is probably as good as anyones... well, other than Weis :eek:grin:

I like Kuntz but a 272 pound NT? Thats Very undersized. NT routinely get doubled teamed so you need a big man in there. We need Stewart in there bad, Kuntz would be a great DE in a 3-4 though.

Schwapp tends to miss on a lot of blocks. Schmidt can be a very dangerous weapon if used right.

I agree Kuntz would be better suited for DE in our scheme, but our staff has been playing him soley at NT. Yes, he is very undersized but we have nobody else we can put there besides Stewart who has looked less then impressive so far and I hope he makes strides during the summer or we're going to have to rely on Ian Williams even more.

Lambert and Wooden have been working hard in the off season, I think with coach Brown's new aggressive defense we'll see a big improvement. McNeil and Walls will definitely get some PT though.

I think Neal takes over from Brockington next year, a year of experience will do him good. I agree with the AA comment, maybe a few snaps at slot receiver.

The biggest OLB's we have are John Ryan and Scott Smith who both weigh 244, thats only 9 pounds heavier then Brockington. I'd rather have Brockington's experience and speed on the field then an extra 9 pounds. It also opens up the possibility for Toryan Smith to start, hes been very impressive since getting to ND and is probably the best run stopper on the team.
