Well, this just may be the most interesting game in quite a while... the obvious storylines from last year's- well you know.... and how will the leader's and the whole team for that matter respond to last week's tanking... Something tells me Brady's gonna go CRAZY this week... It's time to make or break this season and get some mo. going in the right direction just as we hit the softer portion of the schedule.... how bout it?

GO IRISH...

It's gonna be a nailbiter.

Stanton can run and pass. They have a solid RB and solid WR. And defensively you know that they they are gonna pin their ears back and go after Quinn.

I could see this one coming down to BQ being able to drive us 80 yards with 2 minutes to go and no timeouts. I think he does it. I like the Irish by 3.

Well if I had to make a pred. I'd say last year's game we gave away.. the Asap fumble in the endzone followed by an MSU drive downfield comes to mind... but we do have the better team... provided we don't turn the ball over like last week and play up to ability, and yes this team has top five ability... we should pull away... BUT you are correct MSU has no reason not to bring heavy pressure... if they can create turnovers... who knows...

Living in Notre Dame hater country I shudder to think what I'll be hearing if we lose two straight....

We will win Saturday. It is very important that the offense score first. I repeat....very important. Remember we won the last game at Spartan Stadium. I think the team will regain focus now that everyone outside of ND country has thrown them under the bus. No NC talk, no Heisman talk, none of that. Let's just get back to playing football and trying to win games. Maybe this will settle Brady down a little bit. Of course, the line figuring out how to block effectively will help as well. No Darius is not a power back, but it helps when you have a hole to run through.

that's exactly why we will win.I also read on another thread where you made an interesting point that I hadn't caught yet. Thanks for bringing it up.It was that sam young has only one penalty and the other o-line has been drawing them(never thought of that)

anyway,here's the deal
sparty has some great wr's and backs that catch the ball
trannon is 6'6''
reed is 6'2" and the other recievers and backs aren't as tall, but still can catch
scott, love, and ringer and jimmerman out of the backfield.

I'll give sparty 4-5 touchdowns, but if anyone doesn't believe that notre dame will not score 6-7 touchdowns this weekend...then don't watch the game, sparty will be throwing the ball up and down the field all day.
these guys are not near as good as michigan on defense.Michigan is a national caliber team with a lot of seniors that got clicking this year.Notre dame was just too confident going into that game, fell behind, and didn't know what they were doing and realized they were beat by the second quarter.

I think the Irish come back with a vengence. I think we are going to trash MSU and hang 40+ on them...

I know it seems crazy after last Saturday, but I simply don't see this being close.

This is a STATEMENT game and we have A LOT to say.

just an interesting side note, don't know if people remember, David Grimes' brother Carl plays for MSU. I noticed that Carl was one of the MSU players that planted the flag. This game may have a little significance in the Grimes' household. I'm looking for David to have a great game.

The only thing is...Carl Grimes probably wont play an offensive down versus ND.

so what. David Grimes will play, and they'll still be going for bragging rights at home.

Also, just wondering, what happened with Carl? I thought he was pretty highly recruited coming out of high school. or am I not remembering correctly?
