Who were you guys most impressed with yesterday? Lots of guys to choose from:

* Clausen - Could be the most accurate passer in football. His TD to Rudolph was a laser that only Rudolph could catch.

* Floyd - my Lord what a stud! We knew it, but still, 4 catches for 189???????

* Tate - Had some nice catches, especially the one that he barely got his foot inbounds. But the best thing about him was his effort to block, which has been a huge deficiency in his game. He sprung Floyd for his hitch that turned into a TD. Also, he was the first one to go to the Student Section, celebrating Floyd's TD as happily if he had scored himself. TEAM FIRST.

* Rudolph - See: First TD catch, and then the screen where he alludes people like a RB. Beast. Hands. Speed. Best TE in football.

* B. Smith - The discipline he showed on his 2 sacks, in which he kept containment and then still tackled a very elusive QB, was outstanding. Last year, he was a talker most of the time who was very mediocre the final 1/2 of the year. This game, he was a leader who showed it not only with words, but with his play.

* Nick Tausch - Hey, extra points weren't an adventure!!! And his kickoffs, while not all very deep, had exceptional hang time and allowed us to reach the ballcarrier by the 20. Only a freshman!

* I could go on and on, but the player I was most impressed with hardly played. And that was Manti Te'o. He's everything I imagined and so much more. I already detailed what he did in another thread, but wow, what a stud. My man crush on Floyd took a little hit yesterday, I'm not gonna lie. I think I have room for a defensive man crush though LOL.

Lots of options after a 35-0 dominating win, so who was your most impressive player?

Jimmy Clausen is mine. Yeah Floyd did amazing as well but well someone had to throw him the ball. JC has shown me something the last two times we've seen him. He's lightyears away from the wide eyed freshman we saw get crushed a few years ago. He's confident in the pocket (has seemed to fixed that nasty habit of thinking he's Michael Vick and running backwards under pressure in the pocket and rolling out to his left) and delivers the ball with authority.

Michael Floyd.

Those two long touchdowns were all Floyd. Take those away and Clausen has 150 yards.

How about some love for Toryan Smith

5 Tackles 2 for loss with a sack. A big stop by him on 4th and 1

Eric Olsen:
was worried about how he would handle playing center and he did'nt miss a beat. Never had a bad snap and still was playing with his musual mean streak

Toryan's sack and his big stop were the results of Tenuta's blitz packages, not any amazing athleticism on his part.

Olsen was great.

My first choice is Clausen, played great. My co-mvp is the defense, first shut out in the Weis era.
