Can the Tampa Bay Rays hold on to first place in the AL East?
they presently have a 4.5 game lead over Boston, but they start a 3-game series against the Angels (best winning percentage in basbeall) today, and have home and away series against both Boston and NYY in September. that's alot of games against top teams.
I hope they do hold on. I like seeing new teams in the playoffs. I'm intrigued by a Tampa Bay vs Cubs match-up in the WS. Tampa, who as an expansion team has not yet been to the WS, and the Cubs who've not been in a while (i thought "a while" sounded better and less painful to you Cubs fans).
Do the Cubs (currently tied for most wins in MLB) laugh in the face of history and make it?
