Former QB Terry Hanratty just posted on 247....
It was a story of when he was going to commit to Michigan State but at the last minute got an offer from ND, had a meeting with Ara, and then called MSU to tell the coach there that he was going to Notre Dame. He said he was nervous to the point where his hands were shaking.
What did the MSU coach do? He reassured Hanratty, told him he was making a good decision, and that Notre Dame was a great school.
Compare that to the petulant child that is Les Miles. Makes me want to vomit when you think about the way college football has "evolved"... the SEC/Miami/FSU culture has completely removed class and respect from the game.
Everyone has missed two things so far. When you want to wage war, you need to asses yourself, your strengths, and your weaknesses. With college football, (not being much like war) it is a little more esoteric. Jack Swarbrick said it best, when he said college football needs Notre Dame. Notre Dame does not cheat like the scumbag schools out there claiming championships. Forget about 135 man rosters. What some of the southern states are doing with the education of minority students, that comprise a predominance of the present blue chip recruits, is horrible. These students cannot even get in to a decent place of higher education without rule bending. Slavery>chain gangs>then this. Look closely, it is this bad, shackles have been replaced with institutionally imposed ignorance. So ND does it right!
Second, Les Miles wouldn't know Swagg if it bit him in the @ss. True swag is what you got when you go up against insurmountable odds and win. Oh you don't need to win every battle. But when they have to face you and their heart isn't quite into it so much. Then you have that knowledge. And they do to. If they want a piece of you, they have to pay. Too much. Les is just a little man, with big words. It is a good thing he has every tactical advantage the SEC offers or he would be coaching at Shitkicker U. (Yes if you are a 3.0 student or above in Louisiana, you go to LSU free. All you need is a little help with a minimum ACT score. How many of those honor students do you think could get in to a Stanford, a Northwestern, or a Notre Dame?
