USC may be our biggest rival, but I hate Michigan a lot more. Never in my life have I seen a more arrogant fanbase, and you have to live in Michigan to see it. Michigan fans are an extremely underrated group of incredibly douchebaggery.
Every one of my friends who follows college football is a Michigan fan. Every one of them is a moron when it comes to college football. When it comes to comparing Michigan and Notre Dame, their douchebag level skyrockets. Every time I praise a Notre Dame player, they shoot him down. I have a million stories to share.
- After Michigan completed their disastrous 3-9 campaign, I went and told them a simple fact: they were just as bad as Notre Dame was the year before. The common response: "You guys lost to Navy." My usual response to that: "You guys lost to Toledo." And then we begin to argue. These arrogant Michigan fans claim Toledo in 2008 was a better team than the 2007 Navy squad, which is complete and utter bull. I state facts: Navy went to a bowl game, and they beat us in three overtimes. Toledo went something like 4-8 last year...in the MAC. And still these Michigan fans claim their 3-9 team was better.
- Following the 35-17 victory, these same fans complained that Michigan ONLY lost because of all those turnovers, and that they were clearly the better team. I stated the obvious: "We played in the same conditions, and we only had two turnovers." These two turnovers were two poor passes from Jimmy Clausen. They also started calling Golden Tate by a new name....Golden Taint. When I said that they had no room to talk (Golden had 127 yards receiving and a touchdown in that game, including a 60 yard romp where he broke three tackles), they laughed it off and simply continued to say he sucked.
- Blind arrogance. Some Michigan morons were claiming DickRod's first season was going to be an 11-1 campaign, with a BCS appearance, and that Sam McGuffie was going to compete for the Heisman. Bull.
- They all shoot down my team and my team's players constantly. Jimmy Clausen is the most frequent target, with his 17 picks the most frequent joke. When I say he threw for 3200 yards and 25 TDs, they shrug it off with more insults. Golden Tate is another frequent target, even though I back him up with his impressive stats (1080 yards and 10 TDs is a great season, no matter who you play for), they claim it was due to our crappy schedule. I then back this up with more FACT, which they can't seem to grasp: Tate had 100 yard games against MICHIGAN, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Hawaii. The Michigan game speaks for itself, North Carolina was a great team, Pittsburgh was a good team, Tate was the only truly good receiver playing against Syracuse, and he had an unbelievable game against Hawaii. Still, Michigan fans shrug it off with their arrogance.
- Michigan fans bash our schedule, when their's is a joke. Delaware State? Pfft.
- They also claim the App State loss was not as bad as our Navy loss. Fail.
- They claimed the Michigan offense is "amazing" after their spring game. Fail.
- They can't believe that Notre Dame is ranked in most preseason polls, and Michigan is not.
- They claim Michigan is the best team in college football history, even when I counter that with more fact: Michigan has won one national championship since 1960. Notre Dame, in that time, has won four or five.
- Their claim that Bo Schembecler is the best coach in history.
- Their sudden comeback for a Michigan insult: "We had Tom Brady." Tom Brady sucked at Michigan. Our current coach was the main reason Tom Brady is so successful.
- Their claim that Charles Woodson is the best player in college football history.
Believe me, Michigan fans are ANNOYING.
Michigan's going 5-7 this year. Book it.
