They didnt get screwed. #2 in a down Big10 doesnt jump tthe winner of a good SEC. Florida played a tougher schedule and had big wins over teams that actually BEAT somebody, unlike Michigan who beat Wisconsin and ND- two teams with no top 25 wins.

How did they get screwed.....Florida is a better team then Michigan like it or not and is more deserving so Michigan goes to the Rose Bowl and millions of dollars and plays USC whats so wrong with that.

Yup, they got screwed.

All of us here know that we would beat Florida, but would lose again to UM. UM would kill Florida...they would roll them over with a Defense the SEC can only dream of.

Michigan had there chance and they blew it. Why should they get another chance at Ohio St? The answer is they shouldn't. And for all the people who seem to think we would have blownout Florida in a bowl game, wake up!

"Screwed" is what ND's collective sphincter is gonna get from LSU....

I'm not worried cause all the Michigan fans are gonna be in hiding and tuck it between their legs when a pissed off SC team takes them out!

Michigan got screwed. Michigan pounded two top 10 BCS teams in ND, and Wisky, and lost a close game to the best team in the country. If Florida, and Michigan were to play on a nuetral field tomorrow Michigan would be the favorite, I don't think anyone would disagree with that. Michigan has a better defense, a better passing game, and a better running game. Hell even Michigan's kicking game is better than Florida's

The real culprit here is the system. Both Florida, and Michigan are championship caliber teams, which is why we need to have a playoff system to determine who the real best team is.

True...LSU is not going to be a cake walk either...An angry USC team is gonna look to throttle scUM.

I was not in favor of a rematch, but UF jumping an idle UM team is kind of horse sh*t. It's not like UF has been dominant in their last 2 games. If UF truly deserved the spot, why were they not there before. I'm just thinking in terms of the system with no bias since I don't like either team. What's the difference between UF/UM last week versus today? A not so dazzaling win over Arkansas when UM didn't even play? I just have a problem with voters deciding the Ark victory was so impressive, they NOW believe UF is better than UM. I don't buy it. They were voting for a match-up which isn't what the BCS was supposed to do.

Hardly... The most likely scenario is that a pissed off Michigan team is going to use Booty for tackling dummy practice. Booty can't throw under pressure...and if you think UCLA's defense was tough wait until the UM guys decide to "make a statement" with those poor suckers on USC.

If Lloyd harnesses that rage he will crush them... I will be laying big money on UM.

I'm not saying Florida's better then Michigan, but the fact is they had there chance. They lost the game and they don't deserve a rematch. If the Big-Ten would step up and add a Championship game, maybe Michigan could have gotten there rematch.

Well the problem is the BCS, it just doesn't work. I forget the exact numbers from the ESPN poll the other day but I think it was like 70% of fans want a playoff, hearing the coaches they talked to tonight I believe they agree. We need a playoff system, and we need it NOW!

I reiterate, they did NOT have a chance. They played OSU in the horseshoe. It was a regular season game. After the game they were voted #2. No other team LEGITIMATELY jumped over UM...they were voted ahead to avoid having THE REAL #1 and #2 play each other.

The BCS would have paired them together on a NEUTRAL field...where the TRUE #1 and #2 should play.

The whole "they had a shot and lost" argument is getting tired and is kinda retarded anyway. UM lost by 3 points...and if you don't think the Horseshoe is worth 3 points for the home team you are kidding yourself.

And just to be clear AGAIN...UM was voted #2 and dropped TWICE because pollsters don't want to see the game between OSU and UM...NOT BECAUSE UM IS THE #3 TEAM.

It's a complete sham.

And your point is the BCS sucks? We all know its not fair, but lets just say, Michigan plays OSU and loses again, and Florida beats us in the Sugar bowl. So now Florida is sitting there at 13-1 with wins over Us, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, and Arkasas. So how did they not get screwed too. Or maybe Michigan wins over OSU and now there 1-1 against OSU but there the Champion?

My point is the BCS is awful and it needs to go! And somebody was going to get screwed either way!

What if ?

What if Michigan had beaten Ohios St.? Would Florida have jumped Ohio St.? Would Michigan be playing Florida for all the marbles?

Most likely, Michigan had a chance since it was a road game. But if OSU had lost at home they would have fallen to about 5th.

Actually, it's not Michigan that got screwed the worst.

It's the Orange Bowl.

Wake Forest v Louisville?

Sounds like a match up from the dregs of the ESPN2 schedule. Or the Meineke Car Care Bowl.

That's a ridiculous statement...you might as well suggest they shouldn't even have bothered playing the game. I'm sure you couldn't have meant they had no chance...I don't think you would make such an absolute statement.
