I hated history when I was in school, but lately I've become extremely interested in the mysterious death of Meriwether Lewis. I want to see what other's opinions are in regards to his death.

I just have seen this at the periphery of my gaze over that last few years. I wonder the evolution of the case. Has anyone done the first step? Was there any money? And has anyone followed it? The first thing unusual about the story is the idea of writing a last will on the trip. Who profited from this?

From my undertsanding, the government won't allow the family to exhume the body for forensic testing. There's a lot of inconsistancies in the reports, but who knows what's worth pursuing and what's not?
