Anyone see Mark May on Sportscenter tonight? He was brought in to give 2 minutes on the Irish, and he goes off on them and the fans going, "Don't order your championship rings just yet." "Look at your schedule." blah blah blah. I missed the part where any of us or the media were predicting a national title off the Michigan win anyway, but be that as it may, it wasn't so much what he said that caught my attention but how he said it. For lack of a better way to explain it, the guy looked pissed off. I mean, seriously, the way he was saying it I felt like he was yelling at me personally. He was pointing his finger into the camera and he just looked so angry. I mean really, the guy seriously looked like he was about to pop a blood vessel in his head. Talk about being in serious need of a vacation....
Now he's on Gameday Final going on about how ND's defense doesn't deserve any credit and, of course, its all b/c of Michigan's lack of offense. He's going off on Carr for being, here's a shocker, TOO CONSERVATIVE. Geez, where's your cape captain obvious? Its only the way he's run his offense for his entire tenure as head coach and won a title with it (I'm sure May was really criticizing it then...but no, of course its only a problem when he loses to Notre Dame). I mean, seriously, what do you expect? Its not Spurrier coaching the team, you can't expect them to change their game just like that. The fact is their strength (usually) is running the ball and taking short, precision passes. Can the Irish D get some credit for taking that away from them from May? No, of course its all b/c Michigan's offense just didn't execute and gave it away...go take some barbituates, calm the F down, and get off my T.V.....
