He's got that look to him in his picture. That "I want to rip your head off" type look. Keep bringin the tough Illinois kids. They all seem to have the mentality to never stop working hard.
If only the CPL schools had the money the suburbanites do.
The best thing they ever did was start pushing more elmentary school football programs. Kids like Demetrius Jones, Isiah Williams and Miles Stroter are the result of that. They're doing the same for baseball, too.
Indydomer, that look you mention....that's the "neanderthal" gene. O linemen and defensive players have it. It's a beautiful thing.
I was an O-Lineman in high school. Blew out my knee didn't go to college. Sad sob story I know, but thats how I rate most of the recruits right off is the look they have in their eye. You can tell how bad they really want it.
Chicago kids are nasty. They play with chips on both shoulders. They get overlooked, shunned and scoffed at when it comes to football in Illinois. Catholic and suburban schools get all the love.
Nothing pleases me more than seeing a Chicago public school knock the sense out of a suburban school in football.
Simeon is a good program and I'm sure this kid can play. I hope to catch him in person this fall.
He likes to punish quarterbacks, so I like him already having seen that. What impresses me is his motor. He chases down QBs and RBs and makes the tackles. Strips the ball carriers from behind when it looks like they've ripped off big first down gains.
I'd guess he's a three star player and plays weakside defensive end, where ND has not made any offers yet. Not sure he could have outside linebacker speed and at 6-4 he might be best suited to have his hand on the ground in college when he lines up.
wow 18 sacks, thats impressive. im not sure how many DEs ND plans on brining in this year (maybe 3) but that would leave only one spot left, since ND already has kerry neal and CW would most likely hold a scholorship for ben martin if he had to.
Yeah, I think Wilson is a fall back option at best. Hopefully he goes to Illinois if ND doesn't work out for him.
I love these defensive end/outside linebacker types like Wilson and Richetti Jones. There are quite a few this year that I've seen and they seem to play angry. You should see the hit Wilson laid on Jones. Ouch.
To have a kid like Wilson say ND is at the top of his list gives me hope for my hometown. Hopefully we've cast Iowa out into the abyss.
