Mallett transfer?

Ok, last night I was out bar hopping and on one of the TV's ESPN ran something about Mallett possibly transferring after they get shellacked by FLA. Does anyone have any links of reference pertaining to this?

Rumors abound that Mallet staying depends on whether the QB coach at scUM is rehired, and whether they get Pryor. Mallet doesn't want to talk about it, but he has said that he will consider that after the UF game.

I saw that piece as well. Ever since screwing up the Miles to Michigan story, I am questioning ESPN more than ever. But I had read about that possibility from other sources. It would not surprise me if it happened.

I have heard that there are many people in the UM family not happy with Mallet's attitude. Apparently, he has some serious temper and attitude issues. I am one who thinks that Mallet is not long for Ann Arbor. Do not be suprised to see him at somewhere like Texas. Just my thoughts.

I will absolutely LOVE to see him transfer, and then they dont get Pryor. I think the only way that senario will happen though is if he doesnt transfer until after NSD. Then they would have 1, yes ONE(O-N-E) deep at QB, and he is terrible(david cone).

Well...he can throw the ball about a million miles an hour. I mean, has he even heard of the word "touch" (not in regard to himself, either. He'll go blind).

since he was a freshman and only got limited playing time this year, I don't think it's possible to assess his abilities yet. By his JR season you should be able to tell whether he will pan out or not.

I can't imagine him staying regardless of who they pick up. Even if Michigan delays changing over to the spread option because they don't have the personnel yet, I don;t think RR will wait until Mallett graduates. So even if they run a traditional offense or a hybrid spread option that doesn't require Mallett to be a Pat White this year, his days will be numbered at Michigan until RR has a QB who can run his offense.

IMO, Mallett's best chance to get playing time somehwere else is to transfer at the end of the year.

however if you look at his passing yards, they decent because of all the deep hauls down field to manningham and arrington. JC completion % was 20% points higher(exagerating but its close to that.

He will have to sit out 2008 season and then he will have 3 years of eligibility left
