Now, I know it is still fairly early in the game, but UCONN is playing extremely well! They have totally shut down the White/Slaton running game, forcing Rich Rodriguez to throw the ball. The score is now 3-3, and although it seems close to impossible, it looks like UCONN has a shot! I can only hope that they display this type of aggressiveness throughout the entire game. God, grant us Fighting Irish fans this magnificent upset!

Disregard my post. This game, although 13-3 in favor of West Virginia, is over. Connecticut is making too many mistakes. Hey, there's always Iowa vs. Michigan, though!

I credit the Uconn defense regardless, they came out to play and are putting 8 in the box and shutting down slaton. I credit P. White, this kid is a gamer and what da ya know he actually can throw the ball.

WVU isn't particularly good. They're a 4/5/6 loss team in the Big 10 this year. If UConn had any semblance of a quarterback, they'd probably be ahead. And UConn sucks.

I'm sure everyone is expecting me to jump on Clotho hear. I will not. I'm not going to defend WVU anymore it just gets me aggrevated.

Go Irish!!

I've watched almost all of WVU's games this season. I've seen where a team with decent talent, a mid-level Big 10 team, would not have made the mistakes or lost in the ways their (very lousy) opponents have. Wisconsin would beat WVU by at least two touchdowns, and Wisc is only above average, top 15 at best.

I'm not saying WVU is bad because they play a bad schedule, or Big Ten teams are good because they play good schedules.

I'm saying Wisconsin has a better football team than WVU's and would beat them at football. And Wisconsin would have a better football team than WVU whether they'd been playing high school teams to this point, or the Chicago Bears. They're just better than WVU. They have better players.

Or do you really think WVU would go to Ann Arbor and stay within 14? They'd give up 50+ to Michigan and perhaps put up 17-21.

By the time we see, it might be too late. WVU might be in the championship game getting routed, all because they survived Louisville. That's not good for the sport.
