I would be suprised, but because Walls who will be much better than Lambert in the future, still has not adjusted to the speed diff of CFB. I would be suprised. Now I think we'll be using more nickle and dime, so I do expect to see a couple freshman DB's getting some time.

In Weis' press conference he said that starting roles would rally be determined in practice...so I doubt getting burned one big time will change anything.

Lambert is one of the fastest guys on the team so..............................it's not about speed!

Lambert isn't a starting corner, is he? Isn't he playing nickel back while Ferrine is out injured?

Wooden and Richardson are the starting corners unless Wooden is held out due to injury.

Who do you start in 4-3-4?

Who do you play in nickel?

I think that lambert is almost in the same boat as the freshman, ahtletically there, just waiting to get the experience. hes got the tools physically to do it but its just a matter of getting in and making some plays, hes there on almost all the plays, he just needs to get a little more comfortable so he can get his head around one last time

IMO he's way better than richardson, and will be a starter next year with walls across from him, but from now until then the kid has skills he just needs the snaps

yeah he is fast! he is so fast that he couldn't recover from Manningham running buy him twice. as far as who would i put in in the 4-3-4 scheme i would leave the Dbs that we have in, but in Nickle i would put in Walls. he has proven that he can run with the best he isn't making freshman mistakes like Lambert is. If i was going with the school of get them reps they will be great once they get some snaps I would focus that on the two heavlly recruited freshman who are going to be the back bone of our secondary in the near future. and yes Gipper speed kills, just ask Lambert if Manninghams' speed killed him!

Wooden has a 5th year. I would expect he would still start. And I agree that Lambert just needs experience.

i was at the michigan game sitting in the endzone when they put walls in toward the end of the game. it was right after the last int and they were in the redzone. walls came in and got straight up BURNED on two consecutive plays. the first Henne threw it three feet too high for his guy wide open in the endzone and on the second the receiver cut to the middle and walls didn't even move. he just stood there like a deer in headlights. check the tape. thank god the receiver let the ball bounce off his chest harmlessly. it seemed slow motion bc i was so in shock about how badly walls was getting schooled. he's a great player, but too green to become a starter. hopefully the coaches caught this and work with him on those mistakes bc it's rare to get that lucky on two passes in a row
