I know with all the talk of some great football players at various poistions. How come we can never seem to get a kicker or punter? I remember when John Carney played and he had a leg, for punters we once had Hunter Smith & Craig Hentrich. I don't like to take field goals instead of TD's. But I like field goals in lieu of 0 points. Is it just me or do we seem to lose the battle of punters? It seems like even in a tough game we give up yards to the other team because they out punt by 10 or so yards per punt. Until they are getting the ball at midfield and we are pinned back.

We were outpunted so much because our punter sucks. Eric Maust is my sworn enemy.

If Brandon Walker can stay consistent, he could become a great kicker.

IMHO....... the kicking game is extremely important!!!!!! It can be the difference between a win and a loss......... a national title and no national title. We need a solid kicker for the 09 season!
