I'm glad we're still sending someone to the NFL. He should do well.

I'd love to find some stats that show which schools have the most active NFL players. At one time, say 10 years ago, we were very high on that list.

good point. he should view this as an open window to smash heads for us. if he did come i wonder what his cahnces are at playing right away. coach weis told the players that the only thing holding them back from starting was them.

9 of the last 13 years ND has had the most players in the NFL. Entering this year ND had the most players in the NFL. We had 5 players drafted last year, 3 of whom are now starters.

The last 4 years ND has ranked 6th in the country with players drafted.

Don't be fooled by what ESPN says.

Tough loss...but I wish him all the best. Any guesses to where he gets picked?

As for players in the NFL, I would think Miami would be at the top of the list, since basically they're a pro-team that offers electives.

hehe, lol, yeah that pretty much sums up Miami. Anyone ever notice on ESPN though how they ALWAYS point out when someone played at Miami when they're doing pro highlights? Its like ESPN is a recruiting tool for that school, cause they don't do that for any other school.

My bet is Tuck will go early to mid second round. Everyone always need defensive linemen.

I wish he would have stayed.I think it would have helped us and him. This is just one more big whole to fill. The only good thing is maybe it opens up the positin to be able to recruit better.I wish him good luck and will be looking for him on sundays along with JJ. :football:

DE from Boston College Kiwaunuka is not going to declare for the draft. Staying at BC for his last year.

Wow I'm surprized this kid looked like a top ten pick.

This is good for Tuck, one less DE on the board.

he didn't want to come out unless he thought he was a 1st round pick, so i am going to say he will go to either to

#18 Minnesota
or to
#19 St Louis

even though i dont like the Cowboy's it would be neat to see him in Big D with JJ

As for JT's draft position...I think that Pollack out of GA becomes the #1DE. In every mock draft I've seen, Washington, Detroit, & Saint Louis have picked DE's. So I think Detroit is a real possibility...but I have a feeling he'll go late first-round to the Rams.

Yeah, Rogers is very injury-prone. He's only played like 7 games in 2 seasons. It's a shame too, because the Lions are building something positive. With Rogers, Roy Williams, Kevin Jones, Joey harrington, & "Mooch"...Detroit could be a force if they get everyone healthy.

Whats up with Harrington, I thought he'd be a good QB. Detroit fans wanted Mike McMahon from Rutgers to get a shot.

McMahon is a free Agent I think, it will be interesting to see who go's after him. I hear he has skills, but he hasn't really played much.

I think they made a mistake in drafting Harrington in the first place. I thought that McMahon was a solid QB that they gave up on too early. But now that they've hitched their wagon to Harrington, they need to give him the chance to play with a healthy offense.

Right now in Mel Kipers mock draft Tuck is going at 31 to philly. Its nice to see an ND guy go in the first round, but I think if he stayed he might have moved up about 10 spots.
