and that very day is pro day at Notre Dame so you can bet that Charlie will probably have them looking on and show off how his NFL connections are and meet the future pros...maybe floyd could talk to harris about how he should keep the pipeline going

I really feel like CW is recruiting with a vengance this year. I think Cockwad and others woke up a sleeping lion. :devil_2:

Given these new circumstances I'll be a little suprised if John Goodman can make it for any of tomorrow's activities.

GoshenGipper said:
John's team (Bishop Dwenger) beat Concordia 69-59 on Fri. night, and they will now face Fort Wayne Bishop Luers for the final of Sectional 23 for a 3A Sectional Championship. The game will be played Sat. night at 7pm at Bellmont High School. Given that I would guess that it's unlikely that John will attend Jr. Day at ND tomorrow.

I was checking out SI's Top 100 of 2008 and saw how a good portion of the list had ND in their schools of interest, including Terrelle Pryor, the early favorite to be the #1 recruit in the country.

I like to see that type of interest, just show that kids are liking the pro coaches Charlie putting together.

Brandon Newman is also not expected to attend, he had a prior committment to a Louisville Junior day that he is apparently going to honor.

IrishKnight, thank you for the list. It's an incredible list! I wonder how many of them actually showed up - I thought the most surprising name on the list was Julio Jones. Man, him and Floyd this year in our recruiting class would be amazing!!!

Rivals is reporting that another Junior Day attendee received an offer, Ben Habern, a C/DL from Texas.

We're really going after offensive lineman early. I like it. It's all about heart, loyalty, and desire at those positions...

I looked at the list and most of those guys where and play Offense not very many defensive players. How are we gonna stop USC, scUM and the rest of them. CB better get on the trail and get Defensive prospects.

Mike Zordich was not on any of the Jr. day lists that I saw, including the B&G one above, but he did accompany teammate Dan McCarthy to Junior day. Dan left with a scholarship offer, Mike did not. Zordich has also not yet received a scholarship offer from his dad's alma mater Penn State, and he still lists ND as one of the schools he is considering.

According to Tommy they break down like this:

14 D 20 O 6 ATH well rounded

Now a few of the OL also play defense and I would say atleast half the athletes can probably play defense also. If you look at it that way, it's about even.

I really like the aggression of the coaches this year. I really feel like they are out there making a statement to the nation. They won't be run over again when signing day comes next year.

Another guy who slipped by the B&G Junior Day list and showed up last weekend was Greenwich, CT LB Jonathan Meyers. Long thought to be a Florida lock because of legacy, (and probably still is) Meyers left South Bend expecting to receive an offer from ND soon, and said that at this point he considers Florida & ND to be his top two choices.
