I am graduating from Indiana in May and I am in need of a job. I have over 3 years of government experience and will have a degree in Poly Sci with a minor in philosophy. Do you guys know of some opportunities, or can you give me some recommendations. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Matthew

Here's the link for the government job site... USAJOBS - The Federal Government's Official Jobs Site

Many of those are difficult to get into because you have to have an "in". I suggest that you interview as much as possible. Even if the job isn't necessarily in your field, it helps to gather the experience and expertise of interviewing. Plus if something does come across their laps in your field, they'll usually pass your name on. If all else fails, just start your own business like I did. The only downfall is spending too much time on ND sites when I should be working. Good luck.

Yeah, it does. Is it your parents turn this time or mine?

A good starting job in politics is to get a Field Deputy position with a City Councilmember's office. The job usually doesn't pay well (typically around 40K to start), but it's a good job that will teach you a lot and will open up a lot of doors.
