There was a chat with Tom Luginbill of Scouts, Inc. yesterday on ESPN.com. He was talking about the defensive line recruiting and mentioned that ND commits John Ryan and Jason Kates are great prospects and that Kallen Wade is more of a project.

Last I had heard, Kates hadn't committed to ND...am I missing something?

He has not. However, he is certainly a strong possibility. Penn State is really pushing Kates hard now.

His comments on Wade seem to be the consensus.

Kates and McCoy would plug up the middle for years to come. It would be tough to run up the gut against those two.

Penn State appears to be the big one, but Cuse is in there as well.
