it would be awesome to get this guy...i wouldn't want to hear any crap about him not coming to school because of the weather or location...he lives an hour away from south bend!!!

it seems like the Chicago/midwest region is loaded with talent this year, glad to know coach is planning on targeting it hard

Indiana is starting to turn out more and more football players every year now. Purdue has really been on top of this offering these Indy kids early on. Weis needs to dominate Indy recruiting. Indy should be ours.

Theres a LB named A.J Edds, who's from Indy. Looks like he'll be a 4 star or 5 star player. From everything I've read about him, he sounds really interested in Notre Dame. ND hasn't offered yet. He's good friends with Patrick Kuntz(He said Kuntz is a good guy, but that he's completely crazy on the football field). He's already received an offer from Purdue.

Actually, I think ND will have an easier time gettings kids from the Chicago-land area than they will pulling typical kids from rural Indiana. Purdue alumni (less so Indiana alumni) seem to be endowed with a visceral hatred of ND. That often runs in the family. And South Bend is more of a far-eastern Chicago suburb than a rural Indiana town. It is certainly easier to get to Chicago from ND than Indianapolis. Oh, how I loathe Kokomo...

if anything, the good news about this years recruiting class, is we will have a lot of open slots to give out in 06 it would be good to get all these kids, even if they are 2-3 stars, just for depth. it never hurts to have depth

I think it was Queens who had posted who Weis was going after for 2006. Inculed were 20 of the top 100 players! Thats 1/5 of the top 100! I know we wont get all of those but Weis is proving that firing Ty was the right thing.
