Is U$C Again A Possibility?

You guys have a far better understanding than I do about the nuts & bolts of how the bowl games are alloted. If we win out and the douchebags fom U$C drop another, is it possible we could see them again in a bowl game?

I HATE U$C with a white hot passion and I fully believe if we have Floyd back we thump their asses!

Maybe if somehow OSU/PSU/Iowa all have 2 losses and ND goes 10-2 maybe we could get chosen over them for the Big 10 spot in the Rose Bowl

The Rose Bowl is obligated to take the Big10 and Pac10 Champion, unless said Champion is in the Championship game. So the quick and easy is no for 2 reasons. Either FLA or ALA is team #1 and Texas is 3rd, and ND is headed to a Gator/Cotton bowl date.

We aren't playing USC again this year. If USC can get over Oregon (they still have to play them, right?), they will go 11-1 and play in the Rose Bowl against Iowa.

How do you figure "no matter what?" They have to be top8 to be guaranteed a slot, and top14 just to be eligible.

It's possible we could be BCS at 10-2, but NOT definite since the best team left we play is Pitt.

Boise state v texas or
Notre Dame v texas?

you could put any other team there, add notre dame and its a moneymaker/ratings producer.

The BCS committee would of course want us, but we need to be 14 in the rankings or they can't take us. I'm not sure that is a definite. Are you?

this is true, i still dont believe how oklahoma is still ranked at 3-3.

but while we garnish little respect, with teams ahead of us losing there will be no place but to go but up.

No USC and ND again is highly unlikely.The Rose Bowl loves having the Big Ten- Pac 10 matchup. I dont see a BCS bowl because ofthe perception of the team but i wouldnt discount it. Except for the championship game the BCS just wants the most watchable matchups.
