IrishEnvy addiction !!!

As Im sitting here on my fat ass, Im humbled to have spent the entire day with great friends here on IrishEnvy. I love this time of the year, especially when the recruiting's hot and heavy. The ups and downs, the mystery, the excitement, the overall camaraderie shared amongst friends. To me, it's all about the wife having (today) the perfect day off. Only to hear her bitching and moaning about this sick disease I've developed from "Envy-abuse". The kids upstairs beating the crap outta each other. The dog having to hold his piss for hours, the telephone ringing off the hook, ah yes, and my favorite, junkfood,beer and countless smokes ! Guess what,,,it's 11:40pm and I'm still here. The wife is now asleep, kids are tucked away, dogs still pissed, but he's alive, and Im still here, plastered to this PC waiting on my next fix. It truly is an obsession my friends, but it's one those who love me have learned to deal with. For that I am blessed ! Tomorrow, Im off as well, looks to be another exciting day with the best ND message board that money doesn't have to buy. Thank's Svoboda and mods' for these great times !

yeah i can, but i never thought he would go on my computer and look...i was half kidding, he didnt get mad, he just told me that i was horrible at time management...i told him to quit being a micromanager...on the serious side, I think i visit this site atleast 50 times a day everyday...sad, yet its so satisfying

LOL, that's when it pays to be the Network Admin. It seems like there's always some way that my history gets deleted from the data base. What's really funny is any one else that tries to go to message boards get's blocked from the web filter. Except the Irish fans at work. Now our Ohio grads, they're screwed. Once I find they are buck fans they are lucky I give them any type of internet access.

I've slipped so deep into the abyss there is no hope to saving me.

I delete my history every day, but as long as I keep getting work done I'm okay. Things are so slow right now that it is impossible to focus. After the first of the year we'll start clicking again.

I delete my history as well, but I'm in construction, at a hospital in downtown Indy, so there is no "slow time". I have a bid going in on Monday, but haven't done much to get ready for it. I guess it will be a loooong weekend with the blueprints!

not a big poster, but wanted to chime in on this. irishenvy is a great site, in my top 2 for irish news. i used to visit 4 or 5 sites, then somehow came across irishenvy, now its down to 2 only. most of my viewing i do via blackberry however, during my commute, and this site isn't the most bb friendly. however, it really is addicting.

Just a FYI, if you are on a corporate network most now deploy some type of web filtering and reporting tool. IrishEnvy is lucky enough not to be on the list for sports "yet". Like ESPN is on the standard "blocked" web filter list. However, even clearing your history on your PC does not clear it on the reporting web filter server.

If you go to Tools, then Internet options you can delete your internet history. But, I think that only stops someone from seeing it by checking your computer recent history. If there is a network administrator, they can probably see every place you've gone no matter what you do.

Yes, I'm a Network admin. We know everything. Unless you're admin is an Irish fan like me, you should be careful. We have a couple Buckeye fans here and they better fly real straight!

One more reason for addiction - The Irish Envy arcarde isn't recognized by web filters as "games" if your work blocks such things.
