I KNOW IT IS EARLY, BUT, if you go to bgi.rivals.com and you go to the prospect database for 2006, almost EVERY KID has interest in the irish, i didn't see one prospect who was not interested in ND, now i know it is still early, but it is still very impressive

Chalk it up to Charlie. He said when he got this job that he was going to recruit everyone, and it looks like he'll do just that. Lemming said it himself, "If he puts in this kind of effort next year, with a full year to work with Charlie Weis should get a top 5 class next year based on effort alone" or something along those lines

Notre Dame is back in the elite group - Now we need to start getting these recruits to understand that and w/ Hurricane Charlie and the rest of his coaches I believe this will happen ! On another note only time will tell if we can start getting some verbals w/ these recruits.

Do you think the disaster on Sunday at the UCLA game will effect this?

Some of the qoutes I read from recruits were very positive.

that B Ball game was horrible. Got me very frustrated.

When the letters of intent are signed in 11 months, I'll be excited. But it is good that the players are at least looking at South Bend again.

Eh  I would hope a basketball game in February wouldn't affect a football player's decision to commit 10 months later. Might hurt Mike Brey's recruiting efforts though.

exactly. i understand charlie's desire to pump up the students and create a "magical" atmosphere for the recruits, but it was a basketball game and these are football recruits. i doubt the success of the basketball team will have much bearing on their decisions...get them on campus for a fall football game and they'll see the mystique of notre dame.
