So um yeah we're ranked #9 overall going into this next basketball season! I am excited and hope we can live up to the hype. I think we should be able to with Harangody and McAlarney at the helm again... SO LEGIT!

I think that the boy's should be pretty good this season, but 4th in the Big East? I was thinking more like 2 or 1.

We still aren't overly athletic, and we still aren't that great on defense. 4th in the Big East is actually a very good call. We should finish top 4 as long as Harangody stays healthy.

We survived 65-54 over Loyola Marymount last night in Los Angeles. Marymount is 0-4 on the season. But I was scared to death of this game. First of all, you had the biggest crowd in the history of that school. Their gym holds about 4000 and the fans are right on top of you.

And as an avid fan of college basketball, I have seen many teams who are on their way to the Maui Invitational stop out west somewhere and play a game. When you have 18-21 yr old kids on their way to Maui, thats a BIG distraction. UNC lost to Santa Clara a few years back, and Michigan State lost to Hawaii I think 2 years ago.

Happy the Irish got out with a win, this was nothing more than a TRAP game.
