I think it will be much improved and that stat will drop dramaticlly. I feel there will be alot of focus this year on the D in practices and he can now perfect the plays and the plans as well as teach the players the way they need to play. Remember last year was his first year and he could only work with what he had.

It will be much improved. The secondary is going to suprise a lot of people imo. The only prob. could be the linebackers. We won't give up as many big plays as last year.

I still think that offenses will go after the DB's at first untill they prove that they can prevent the big play so they need to step it up early and show that it is not the choice to make

Improved or not improved, the backfield is slow. I don't see that changing, and if that hasn't changed, you are going to give up at least a few big plays.

you can improve speed through conditioning and drills. I think there will be an improvment this year

Only to some extent.

Yep. And these guys get all the conditioning and drill work done in the summer, so there's no excuse for what we saw last season. Those guys aren't getting any faster, hence Darrin Walls and Raeshon McNeil posing a major threat to the status quo.

Btw, where in Columbus are you? I'm in Bexley.

I really feel that at least one of those guys ( darrin walls or mcneil) will be starting towards the middle of the year at the latest

by the looks of Mcneil at the Army game, i would have to say him, but they say that Walls is better, either way to think we will have Ambrose, and Walls, and Mcneil allows me to go to sleep at night

Nayers what have you heard about prince playing CB. I think people overlook his skills on this side of the ball. he has the speed that we need at this position

I don't see Prince moving to the D side. Minter tried to get him there before but Weis wants him on the Offensive side of things, and I agree with him. He has the speed we need, and has packed on a considerable amount of muscle and has taken off some of his 40.

The D will be improved, but there are still some major questions to be answered.

#1- can the line put pressure on the QB
#2- who is going to fill in Hoyte and Mays spots
#3- can the secondary stop anyone this year

the secondary will be vastly improved in my opinion. Abiamiri should wreak havoc in the backfield this year, and the LB spots are still up for grabs. 2 of the 3 questions have been answered more or less but still need to be addressed.

BUT, the Defense will be improved greatly this year.
