I wish the defense got this much attention on here. Ultimately, that's how we are gonna win games this year. I believe the situation were in, Charlie's gonna put the qb in a situation not to fail and count on the D to pull us through.

Actually, Charlie said he is demanding more from the quarterback than the "Just don't lose us ballgames" philosophy.


Let me also add... Although I agree, he won't set the qb up for failure by asking them to do too much.

Weis clearly announced yesterday who the starting QB was.

He said "there is a very good reason who the starting QB is."

That obvious reason is an inexperienced offensive line and inexperienced receivers, making it much more necessary to have a startng QB who can scramble.

Seems pretty obvious to me - especially given the fact that we open against G-Tech, which has a very attacking defense.

that isn't "clearly announcing" who the starting QB is. of course there is a very good reason. if evan starts, it will be because evan is the best man for the job, thus there is a very good reason for it. if jimmy starts, it will be because jimmy is the best man for the job, thus there is a very good reason for it. if demetrius starts, it will be becasue demetrius is the best man for the job, thus there is a very good reason for it.

Well thats the reason I dont think it's Evan. The "do more than just manage the game" comment. Out of CW's own mouth, he's admitted both DJ and JC have better physical attributes and talent. Evan's edge came in just being able to run the team.

what about when CW was asked why JC wasn't throwing the deep ball in practice, and his reply was well we'll just have to see on Sept 1st
