If Charlie asked your input on one thing, what will it be.

I will be to get the players to understand the tradition of The Dame. That mean's in the class and on the field. Not focusing in school and on the field will not be torelated. Instill that into these kids and half the battle is done.

I think he tries to do that a little bit already. but i agree with you, if all those guys would really truly understand what Notre Dame and Notre Dame football mean to some people...

He should quit running the team like a "business trip". These are young, impressioinable people and they need to be motivated. His first two teams didn't seem to be hyped for many games, except the close USC game in South Bend. Charlie needs to put a lot more "RAH,RAH, Rah" into the team. Emotion is a very powerful thing and we haven't been taking advantage of it.

What about Michigan State or U.C.L.A if they wasn't movitated to win we would of never came back in any of thoser game's. The Shark and Quinn was rah rah type of guy's. I alway's feel you can be rah rah all you like. If your defense can't kepp the pressure on, then you got a problem.

Let's Go Dame !!!

I would discuss tradition (on and off the field)...but I would like to see our running game become a perennial power house. I would suggest running right, running left and smashing up the middle. Simply put.

Old School

Like Lou running the full house backfield and for the most part, never being stopped inside the 10 yard line!! That was one reason I fell in love with the Irish when I was young. We'd line up in some "We're gonna kick your ass" formation, and then go and do it. I loved it. Bettis, Brooks, and Burris, all in the backfield at the same time. Awesome!!!
Maybe, Schwapp, Hughes, and Aldridge? It'd be nice.

Go Irish!!!!

If Charlie asked for my advice, I'd suggest he drop the Big 10 refs at our away games. The Big 10 hates Notre Dame, and we play so many B10 teams that we increase the home advantage on our road games.

BINGO, the only criticism I have of Charlie.

If the team had been pumped to start those games, I do not think there would have been a need to come back. I took the post to mean that was the one (small) thing that was missing. Weis seems to have everything else covered.

Maybe the only minor "bad" thing he brought from the NFL. TOO business.

Your last line captures it (but add the offensive line). I think we will see some more power running in 07.
